DJ Monastic whose real name is Kpalekpor Raphael Semeglo is an award winning Ghanaian disc jockey and Graphics Designer. He was born by Augustine Kpalekpor and Gifty Ahorlushie on May 5th, 1997. He Attended Sonuto A.M.E Agbozume where he got his BECE certificate.
DJ Monastic was born in Denu in the Ketu-South of Volta Region Ghana and raised By his Aunt called Favor Kpalekpor at Aftown(Aflao) were he developed his passion for music.
He is one of the hottest DJs in the Ghana music genre of hip hop. DJ Monastic continue to work hard so he also went to "Bolanle Banwo" Graphics Design school in Nigeria
and graduated in the year 2015, as we talk now, He just won this 2021 Young Stars Music Awards Graphics Designer of the year.
After the graduation of his graphics design course, He came back to Ghana to set up his own Shop Which he named; "Monastic Graphix Design(MONGIX DESIGN)"
His Role model as a designer is Bolanle Banwo in Nigeria and around the world is Milton Glaser.
He is not only talented, he is simply creative and a barrier breaker. He has carved a niche for himself with several exciting mixtapes released.
