Liverpool forward Sadio Mane will depart Merseyside this summer according to reports after his side’s UEFA Champions League Final defeat to Real Madrid at the Stade de France.

The 30-year-old Senegalese has been touted to leave the Anfield side, with reports linking him to a 30 million Euros switch to German Bundesliga kings Bayern Munich, though Mane revealed he would communicate his decision after the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League Final.

According to Fabrizio Romano: "Sadio Mané has decided to leave Liverpool this summer. He’s ready for a new experience after many special years with Reds – it will be confirmed to the club."

The latest development represents a huge blow for The Reds off the back of their disappointing 1-0 UEFA Champions League Final defeat to Real Madrid in Paris on Saturday night. Moreover, they are yet to tie down talismanic forward Mo Salah to a new deal.

Mane joined Liverpool from fellow Premier League campaigners Southampton in 2016 and has helped Jurgen Klopp’s men win the UEFA Champions League in 2019, the UEFA Super Cup in 2019, the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, the Premier League in 2020, the League Cup in 2022 and the FA Cup in 2022.
