A celebrated Ghanaian R&B and Afro-fusion singer, Jacqueline Acheampong, known professionally as Gyakie has opined about her love life.

The "So Mi Mu" crooner claimed she is single and scared to fall in love.

Speaking on the KSM show, the daughter of Nana Acheampong, a seasoned Ghanaian singer, says she finds it difficult to differentiate between those who truly love her and those who will come because of her fame.

Nonetheless, Gyakie encouraged potential suitors not to back off due to her statement but instead approach her—maybe it can work.

“So, I haven’t fallen in love because it’s too hard to tell who loves you for who you are or to tell who loves you because I’m Gyakie and they want to brag about it, so that is another danger,” Gyakie disclosed.

She continued, “Though scared and trying to make sure it’s for the best, I’m still ready and willing to give love a chance. So come on, come on, shoot your shot!”

The songstress has also revealed that, though she sings love and romantic songs, she is yet to feel love.

She indicated that she is currently focusing on her music career until God sends her the one to tie the knot with.

“I sing love songs to the audience, but that doesn’t mean I’m in love or sing it with the feeling of love. All I do is sing. Maybe when I fall in love in the future, So I started to feel what my fans feel when I sing or listen to my songs. Music is for the fans.

“When it comes to relationships, I don’t pay much attention to it. I am in my corner, I will gladly accept whatever comes my way. Right now I am focusing on my studies so that later in the future when It’s okay if God sends someone to me, ”she explained.
